When you request a free AI visibility scan, we collect what you type into the form: your business name, trade or category, city, website, and email address, plus basic technical information sent by your browser (such as user agent). If you become a client, we additionally collect the information needed to deliver the engagement and process payment.

To run your scan, compile and deliver your report, respond to you, deliver paid services you purchase, and send you the communications you’d reasonably expect from us about your scan or engagement. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. We do not use your information for third-party advertising.

Scan confirmations and reports are transactional. Any marketing email we send will identify us and include a working unsubscribe, as required by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

We use a small set of service providers to operate: Cloudflare (website hosting and delivery), Supabase (database), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (payment processing — we never see or store your full card details), Google (analytics, through Google Tag Manager), and Meta and TikTok (advertising measurement, when we are running ads). Some of these providers store or process data on servers in the United States. By submitting the form, you consent to this cross-border processing. Each provider is bound by its own security and privacy obligations.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card or bank details go directly to Stripe and are governed by Stripe’s privacy policy; we receive only confirmation of payment and the billing details needed for invoicing and tax.

Scan requests and reports are retained so we can honour re-inspections, before/after comparisons, and our records obligations. If you want your information deleted, email hello@localaeo.ca and we will delete what we are not legally required to keep, within 30 days.

Under PIPEDA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and withdraw consent for uses that aren’t required to deliver something you’ve purchased. Write to hello@localaeo.ca. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We use Google Analytics 4, deployed through Google Tag Manager, to understand how people find and use this site — which pages they read, and whether they complete a scan request. This sets cookies in your browser and shares usage data with Google, which processes it on our behalf, including on servers outside Canada. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not sell or share this data with advertisers for their own purposes. We may also use advertising measurement tools from Meta and TikTok to see whether our own ads lead to scan requests. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser — the site works normally either way. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) also sets strictly-necessary cookies for security and performance.

Our services are for businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18.

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and its effective date. Material changes affecting existing clients will be communicated by email.
